Head Chef

Bridge of Orchy Hotel is one of Scotlands most iconic small hotels and is looking to recruit a Head Chef who will lead the culinary charge and firmly establish “The Bridge” as the place to eat and stay in the area.


A commercially minded, hands on Chef who can lead , motivate and develop a small team to deliver fabulous contemporary Scottish cuisine  in a breath-taking setting , we require a candidate who can install and maintain essential kitchen disciplines and standards as well as exceed guest expectations and financial targets .


The ability to maintain a professional and proactive relationship , and work alongside the management team will be essential to the future success of the food and overall strategy.

Duty Manager

Duty Manager position is available now at the Bridge of Orchy Hotel for a dynamic manager with duty-shift experience to take responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day, duty management operation within our hotel environment; with experience in reception would be essential.


With 32 contemporary rooms and sitting on the West Highland Way in some of Scotlands finest scenery, Bridge of Orchy Hotel enjoys an enviable reputation for food, accommodation and service, scoring 4.5 on TripAdvisor.

The Bistro & Dining Room are very busy and popular with residents and passing guests so the ability to work with the management team in delivering business objectives is crucial.

This prominent appointment would suit a "rising star" or established talented candidate who can help cement our reputation as one of Scotlands great small Hotels.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to build, develop and inspire the team.


The Duty Manager must have:

  • Display good leadership skills
  • Creative flair within a team environment
  • Speak fluent English
  • Front of House experience
  • Good all-round knowledge of working in a hotel environment
  • Be highly passionate about delivering exceptional standards
  • Engaging with the team and guests
  • At least 1 year of experience in supervisory or management role in 4/5* hotel

  • To be a proactive thinker, natural decision-maker and be able to work with the team with direction, enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • To have an attention to detail both operationally and financially; to ensure the business achieves its objectives.
  • To be highly motivated and strive to ensure that the consistent levels of service offered match and exceed customers’ expectations, taking a “hands-on” role as business dictates.
  • To have the personality to excel in a quality environment with a warm, enthusiastic and friendly personality, a natural guest focus and desire to maximise the guests experience.
  • To be a well-groomed and well-presented individual with charm, character with excellent social and hosting skills.
